剧中讲述洛杉矶地铁发生炸弹袭击案时，在车上的蓝领工人Mike Russo只是想确保妻子Allison及10岁女儿Pearl的安全，但在错误证据及社交媒体上被「预先定罪」下，Mike被描述成是此事件的幕后黑手。Mike为了证明自己的清白及找到真凶，故此只好逃离家人、警察、社交媒体，以逃犯身份寻求真相。
